Dr. George Z. Panos (male) is a Specialist in Internal Medicine & Infectious Diseases (MD, PhD, DTM&H(Lon), FRCP) Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Cyprus Medical School & Nicosia General Hospital and holds a Biomedical Electronic Engineer Degree (BSc, CEng, MIET). Trained in Internal Medicine & Infectious Diseases at University Clinics of the University of Athens Medical School, Laiko General Hospital, Athens. Subsequently worked as a Consultant Specialist Physician / Infectious Diseases & Head of HIV - Special Infections Unit, Penteli General Hospital, Athens. Assistant Professor & Associate Professor of Internal Medicine & Infectious Diseases at the University of Patras School of Medicine. Served as Senior Registrar - Junior Consultant at the Dept. of Infection & Tropical Medicine, Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, UK and as Clinical Research Fellow at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, London. Participated in numerous national & international multicenter studies as principal investigator and participates in more than 129 publications listed on pubmed; has authored several medical manuals and wrote chapters in books. Participates as Editorial panel and is a reviewer for a number of medical and biomedical engineering journals, and is involved in the creation of a global EHR.
