Key enabling Infrastructure
Key enabling Infrastructures for the development of precision medicine technologies
Developing precision medicine technologies necessitates the integration of many types of longitudinal data to achieve the required personalization of diagnosis and monitoring. Since currently available biobanks and data are incomplete, sparse and not longitudinal, a state-of-the-art data and specimen repository (extending well beyond “traditional” tissue preservation) as well as the tools to manage and analyse this wealth of information are required. Key enabling integrative infrastructure will be developed, at the Centre central hub at UCY, which will not only be vital for achieving research excellence but will also contribute to the Centre’s sustainability by becoming the very desirable tool that will attract additional competitive funding. Moreover, services pertaining to data and specimen storage linked with advanced analytics will be facilitated.
