Dr. Kyriaki Michailidou (female) is a Genetic Epidemiologist with extensive expertise in the analysis of large breast cancer genetic datasets. She trained in mathematics and statistics and has more than 7 years of experience in cancer genetic epidemiology and statistical genetics. She led the analyses of the iCOGS (FP7 project) breast cancer GWAS and identified 56 genetic variants associated with breast cancer, more than doubling what was known for breast cancer up to that date. She has 83 publications in high impact journals and she is a leading author in Nature Genetics publications (impact factor (if) = 31.6), Cancer Discovery (if = 19.8), American Journal of Human Genetics (if = 11.2) and Nature communications (if = 11.3). She has also co-authored publications in Nature, Science Translational Medicine, JNCI, Oncotarget, Plos Genetics and Human Molecular Genetics amongst others.
